As I was surfing the blogosphere last night, I came across Madeleine Vionnet via YES PLEASE MADEMOISELLE.   I immediately thought of our most recent client.  She’s about our age (40’s), two teenage daughters and three closets filled with some serious fabulosity.  She has a regular active social schedule with ballet tickets, symphony tickets, theater tickets, and  White Sox tickets…she’s awesome.   Vionnet is absolutely perfect for her and what luck, Vionnet is back for resort.  This line would do the double duty our client is looking for…blacktie/evening wear right into everyday fashion.  If you’re not familiar with the famed Madeliene Vionette she was the pioneer of the grecian cut/bias cut dresses.  Her clothes are described as “luxurious and sensual yet simple and modern”…qualities you’d want for both day and evening, right?   I’m really not doing Ms Vionette any justice at all.  I suggest what YES PLEASE MADEMOISELLE suggests…read her wiki page.  Now on to some fashion!

I can imagine any one of our client’s fitted or slouchy blazers and a pair of boots (flat, wedge or heel) with this first number.  Oooo…and her blk lace Monique Lhuillier straight leg pants would be fantastic with the last number.
