Major props to Arlene for catching this beauty FROM THE CAR! The girl was walking between parked cars, traffic was steadily going in the opposite direction blocking our view, and Arlene was in a moving car as well. That's some mad photography skillz! As for the fashion, so refreshing to see some decent shoes in Chicago. SOOO many bad ones here.

Wow these are looking so lovely! And I'm delighted the 'patched leather' pants trend is still going strong. I bought a pair from designer Joanna Dauphin a year ago (http://tinyurl.com/yzl4jxu). I was unsure at the time but they've turned out to be one of the most useful pieces of clothing in my wardrobe. In fact I'm wearing them today (http://tinyurl.com/ygvj4j3)

For some, L.L Bean boots are a new trend. For the rest of us it's been a way of life growing up in the Midwest. I remember all the sorority girls wearing them on the hill while attending The University of Kansas in the late 70s and 80s. I guess we were ahead of the curve. But then who wants think Kansas as a fashion trend setter.
Keep your fashion paws off my Beans.
