My sister-in-law and her new husband just got back from an 8 month trip to India.  From the few stories I have heard and the beautiful gifts they brought back, I can’t wait to hear every little detail of this unimaginable trip.  My gift??  A scarf!!   To me, a scarf is the perfect gift.  To me, a scarf transcends…every season and almost any outfit from effort to effortless.  Scarves not only make me cozy and happy, but this particular scarf seems to also have the power to put me in front of the camera…yikes!   Yes, I am the terribly-camera-shy-other-half of twentythirtyforty.net.  Hi!  I’m Arlene.  I’m also terribly short on words, so to describe it would not give it any justice..I have to show you.

Shoes are really my (our) thing.  Case-in-point:  I’ve been asked numerous times how many pairs I own…really don’t know (I DO circulate through them though) and Brandon, well…she has WALLS of shoes. but DAMN this Prada shoe irresistible!

and I most likely will be adding the blue Gap version of this Pierre Hardy shoe….

and believe it or not, you should own this little mocassin by Chloe.  They resurrect this shoe almost every other season for a reason!!  

I actually felt a little guilty posting ART instead of FASHION the other day.  So what’s better?  Art + Fashion!

Thank goodness for design sites like IT’S NICE THAT…..for me, it’s a very slippery slope to “middle age” if I’m not kept in the loop!  What’s great is that you can even order this blog in a glossy publication format which documents some of their most interesting work…go surf!

Spring in the city…..Spring is why we endure the snow, the ice, the wind, the sleet, the slush, the no parking, the WINTER!  Yes, all this for spring in the city…spring here feels like love is in the air.  

I couldn’t wait to look at spring again after all these weeks of fall shows.  I immediately started perusing S09 lookbooks and I’m falling for Lover.  What a great vibe…
